electric heated seats in place of manual ones

i have just got some seats and as there wasnt eletric there origanly i was wondering were the wires would need to come from i also have the relays for the heater parts in the seats would they needseperate wires or not any help would be much appreciated cheers richard

They will be under the carpet, next to the cross member under the seat. They are fed with a 30amp fused supply, so i dont see why you couldnt tap into the seat feed ( assuming its not been cut off)

will have to have a look at this the weekend hopefully shouldnt be to much of a pain

also the switch that i have for the heated seats doednt have a switch to fold the mirrors in will i need to try and locate another sort of switch or can they be modified

Ahh, youre better off using 2 seperate switches for the heated seats. i have had all the different permitations of mirror switches apart to see if its possible to marry them up, the seat heater buttons are integral to the circuit board, so either way you would lose one or the other functions.

Chances are that if you have manual seats at the moment you won't have the loom to plug them in. You can however still wire them in as groover says, but you'll have to find suitable connections i.e. a 12v perm live (fused) and an earth. you can rewire the exisisting belt tensioner into the new loom. I Don't know about the heated part.
