Can someone confirm the thread size of the oil pressure sender unit in the block?

I've seen both 1/8bspt and 1/8npt quoted!

1/8 BSP thread. The NPT will go in and seem like it tightens but will strip the thread.

Thanks for the info. Whre is the best place to get an adaptor? I want to fit an Oil Temp gauge too, so guess an 1/8 BSP male tee-ing with 2 x 1/8 NPT female is the best option?

You can get a sandwich plate off ebay quite cheap, infact i have a spare chrome one if you want it. ive only tried it out for size on my spare engine, hasnt been used.

 

There are a couple of other holes around the filter tree you could take a feed from, or oil temp from the sump plug, ive seen an adaptor advertised somewhere.

Jimmer told me it was 1/8 NPT deffo, now Im confused???

I got my info from http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.291, that did initially state 1/8NPT, then there was an additional note stating otherwise.

 

As Jimmer is an engine guru, i have no doubt he is right, hopefully he can confirm.

only info I can find about the part number (25070-30P01) and thread type is BSP......

Ok, but i have an NPT threaded oil pressure sensor, that fits a sandwich plate as its NPT, but after taking one of the feed bolts from the oil filter housing, it feels like its going to strip. I tried an adaptor bolt that came with the sensor, it fits smoothly on the threads of the sensor, but is slightly loose initially on the bolt from the oil filter housing. Indicating to me that its not the same.
