I think its like a 5/40 but remember to buy specialist bike oil NOT!!!! car oil as it knackers your clutch and makes it slip my brother made that mistake

Is it fully synthetic or something. How much will i need, cant be too much, i don't remember seeing a huge oil containing sump :D They must sell it in the appropriate sized bottles

yeah its only something like 2 ltrs but google the bike fella thats your best bet or ring up a local bike supplier and ask

i use castrol in my tl1000r, used castrol in my blade too. Just looking in the manual for the spec

I went to halfords, but my dad came with me so i couldnt look at them without raising suspicion :D

Cheers damo, ill have a look at that.

it'll be 3 ltrs plus so buy a gallon. if he is a sunnyday rider only just get Mobil 1. sod the expense.

if he never bothers to warm it up before riding go 10W for the first figure and I highly recommend you go SEMI-synthetic. it will last longer sat in the sump and will heat up quicker than fullySyn in the bike.

Most importantly.. buy a filter to go with the oil. roughly £7. Google Busters/M&P/demon tweeks for this item.

enjoy..

Hes had the filter for years sitting in a new box. I was just gonna get him the oil to go with it. He really wont ride the bike much, but he does have a good mechanical mind so he will let it warm up properly. Ill see whats on the market when ive got some time. Cheers
