Yes they are mad  Not possible on stock internals, if it were, would last about 5 mins lol

i would say that everything bar the pistons would be up to it, most people would replace the rods at this stage anyway as its not worth the risk

Would be interested to know what realistically is possible on the standard internals as well.

Is 450 achievable if you have all the right mods, ie, Larger IC's, Injectors, EBC, tubs, filter, exhaust & de-cat ???

Im currently in the middle of a build for this kinda power, and just to be on the safe side ive gone for a forged bottom end, FMIC, Hybrid turbos, Decat exhaust, HKS filter, AVCR, 555injectors, mapped ecu, Koyo rad, fully rebuilt ported & polished heads & intake manifold, Uprated clutch, lightened flywheel, main underdrive pully, with Hicas and aircon deletion, I may also go for some nice new tubular manifolds aswell. Hopefully this will see me a reliable road car at 400-450bhp with options of upping later.

With those mods you could probably run a 100 shot of nos fairly safetly. Just so you can beat some ferraris ;)

there are a number of Z's running over 500 at the rear wheels, (e.g 600hp at fly) on a stock engine.

........but freshly rebuilt stock engines. Its not something I would ever attempt on a 20yr old, 100k motor.

The point being that there are a number of points to be taken into account. The condition and subsequently the fatigue situation of current engine components...and then the Mapping. Detonation from poor mapping will very quickly melt stock pistons, but forged items will withstand a lot more.

The stock crank and rods are Forged as standard. The pistons are not.

i was going to say, as much as some might laugh at this, stock is good for around 600bhp, but and a big but, Only if freshly rebuilt and correctly rebuilt at that. personally if i was going any where near 450, forged lower end would be a must for me.

anyone got any estimates on price for forging + rebuild?

Jimmer would be your best bet. thats his speciality and does a damn find job at it too.

lol. air intake, free flowing decat exhaust, 16psi boost, under pulley, light flywheel and when i get my nos on im gona run a 100 shot (in moderation) so might be near 500 then when i use it lol
