i remember when it was called poppy day, the poppy is a symbol of rememberence taken from the fields of flanders in the first world war where wild poppies grew after the blood shed on the ground and in the trenches had gone ....i will and always will make a donation and in my opinion the great war and second world war should never be removed from school curriculum's its a disgrace to the millions of dead on both sides that their loss and sacrifice is so easily swept under the carpet of political correctness.
