I need to order a pair of suspension spacers from USA.

I can either get one pair for £55 delivered, or 2 pairs for £100 delivered with the view to selling the spare pair on to make some money back.

But how much am I likely to pay in total including customs etc?

Any help would be appreciated! thankZZZ :wheelchair:

When I have bought from the US it as been more than 10%.

It gets handled and eventually delivered by Parcelforce and they charge £8 flat rate methinks, then there is the duty and I will guess it could be £15 more on around 100 squid.

You have no choice but to pay once they write to you, no pay - no goods.

You could ask the seller/company to mark the value down for you or in other words lie on their form/declaration but again my experience they do not.

If you are really lucky you may escape with no duty/charges at all and I would of thought if this was to happen it would be on the £55 value, not so much on the £100 value.

HTH

20% get the comany to put the value down at $30 and get them to send you paperwork seperately.

Also helps if its marked as a gift, most companies in the States will do this as they have sussed its a good market in the UK. Never had any problems with parts coming in for my yanks !

Marking down the value leads to you losing out big time with insurance claims if the order goes missing or gets damaged (and they do) , and marking as Gift wont help you if the item is worth more than £36.

21% is a typical figure to go with for Import duty, Vat and Admin charges.
