Any one else on here having trouble getting motivated for work or other things,? i sold my company in 2001 and not worked since may be the odd day here and there , i am 51 this month,and retired to spend more time with the kids two boys now 16 and 20 , and the wife i guess, now there grown up i need to go back to work , but cant seem to get motivated ,not for the money ,i get my pension started last October i think thats the reason ,even doing stuff on the car i need a kick up the back side but once im doing something im enjoying it , thinking of stating up again .

It sounds to me like you need a project to get your brain focussed enough to get back out there again!

 

It doesn't have to be zed related but getting yourself into the routine of getting up at a set time and doing a 9-5pm bit of work each day will get your head back into the flow again.

 

I used to be self employed and it's very easy to slip into the getting up late, losing focus way of thinking so putting some structure in place and getting your brain working will ease you back into a work frame of mind again :)

Need to keep yourself busy, thats why I built my zed... im 37 and semi retired and as soon as you ease up for a bit it sucks.

I think you should take up landscape painting! That's right, become an artist. There's some really good painting by number pictures you can buy to get you started :)

 

On a serious note, as said above, you need to take something up that will motivate you.
