I still have the Z lol...

Circumstances have changed a bit and I no longer really need a daily car, so the beemer has gone and here is the replacement.

I was after a 4x4 to convert into a decent off roader for a bit of fun. The fact I worked for Jeep for 10 years kind of swayed me a little, so I went and got a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 Limited. Its got an LPG conversion and is absolutely rammed full of decent standard equipment - Infinity Gold stereo system, memory seats mirrors and stereo, electric heated seats, climate control, electric everything, tints, twin electric towbar... all for £600.

The Jeep has spent the last 6 months doing 8000 miles around Europe without missing a beat, which is good enough proof that it is a trusty motor.

I may be a little biased but I really like it, great to drive, smooth, comfy etc. I have already done a bit of work to it and fitted some bits I had.

Ok, so you may think its a little boring now... but I've got some 15" weller wheels on the way with 31" tyres (big) and in the process of ordering a lift kit, either 3.5" or 4.5". Will post some pictures as it progresses, but this is the sort of thing I'm aiming for:-

Don't tempt me Daz.... It would get up on the bonnet of the Z with no problems whatsoever! Can't wait to get the suspension sorted and fitted, I went down some very muddy and wet tracks yesterday, no public access signs don't relate to 4x4s do they? ;)

That must be the most car any man has ever got for 600 notes!!

I'd have had that in a shot with the lpg conversion, you lucky fella!

sweet ride! ive got that draper screwdriver set! i can get hold of all draper stuff at great discounts if anyone is interested, just let me know. its not off me personally, but the company i work for, but i can do massive discounts for anyone on here

That Beamer was sweet though!! ;) She seemed to run nicely enough.

The interior looks a lot nicer than the Cherokee's I've driven before!

Thats because its a Grand Cherokee ;) Yeah the BMW was nice, but my mate with a Disco kept nagging at me to get an off roader so I was rushed into it lol.

@ Rob - Yeah the draper screwdriver set has lasted AGES.. When I worked for a garage there was a special promotion and I'm sure that set was £9.99 or some ridiculous price. Should have bought 2! Very highly recommended!

@ Vods - Yeah but my mate has a Disco and I like to rival him lol. I'm sure mine wont let in as much water as his collinder

Theres a guy round here driving around with those massive tyres on his Jeep and he looks like a cock lol PLEASE leave it as it is!
