anyone ever replaced a door glass?

Been reading up on TTnet, and I stripped the door down today (2hrs pulling glass out, and there's still half as much in there again I'm sure), and it's still not entirely obvious how you fit new glass..

 

Do you have to unbolt the regulator to get access to the rails, or do you just have to try and do it all with your hand stuffed up inside the door?
