My mate bought a Land Rover Discovery today, its got a lift kit on, big nobbly tyres etc and its got plenty of off road ability and experience. Its pretty cool but I prefer the looks of the Range Rovers, Grand Cherokees, Pajero/Shoguns. Far nicer inside for a start. Can anyone advise on whether these other models will match the off road performance of the Landy or am I best off getting a Disco myself?

you should get through with yours fine with nobly tyres, mind you, yours are massive?! you may end up floating across it! i only struggled when there was slimey gooey mud on the bottom due to my crappy tyres, and hard surface she drove through like a dream! so along with the belts some tyres are on the shopping list.

knowing baz he will probably fit a inflatable dingy to it, connected to a air compressor so when he reaches the water sections, he presses the button on the dash, the boat inflates under him and he floats across lol

^^ now thats an idea :shifty:

Off for some green laning action this weekend - theres a 200ft ford that I wanna drive through which leads onto another 10 miles of green lanes, so I'll get some pics of that. Its the first time I've taken the Jeep anywhere 'proper' but I've had experience in rangies and stuff in the past. I'll guess I just have to see how I get on, and that may change my shopping list a bit
