Does anyone know how to download a video from a website (not youtube but BBC)

Can't be done!

Well not properly, you can get software that'll record your entire screen, but to be honest I found that to be crap.

All BBC content (iPlayer, BBC News sites etc) use sophisticated software to stop you from doing it, as soon as the hackers get close Adobe do an update. Even if you download it via iPlayer you still cant use the save file for anything other than playing with iPlayer, and it has a time stamp within the file that only allows you a certain time to watch it in.

Depends what it is, have you looked for it on YouTube?

TBH I doubt they'd send you a copy though.

Dont laugh here, but is it something you have recorded, or can watch again ??

 

My mate set up his cam corder on to the telly screen, taped what he wanted to watch, it was an advert, dont ask me why, plugged his camcorder into his pc and uploaded it !

 

Wasnt A1 quality, but very reasonable!

I've checked on some of the torrent sites and it's not there either.

Blue Iris will capture it pretty well (using screen grab) not audio though, but could easily capture audio separately and overlay it.
