Today a registered forum member on here ( not subscribed yet ) had his Skyline GTR on the rollers , its been a long time in the build at TR and is being run at ten of the best as a tribute to Tweeny Rob and to His Father who both passed away sadly this year .....anyway i got this message and thought if anybody wanted to wish him luck at the coming event then they could do so ....

Car on the rollers...

Made 810bhp at the wheels at 1.65 bar and 8000 rpm.

Mapped all we could until crank sensor is installed and setup

tomorrow, as expected the CAS was a bag os shyte for mapping decent

power. Should allow us to run it up to 2.2 bar and 9600 rpm...

Nitrous won't be run but is installed but car should crack 1000 bhp, it's pulling

like a train and just looks the nuts!

Haha! This is finally finished, im not sure if Matt remembers who I am but I have met him a couple of times. I think Ive only seen the car on the road once in the last few years its spent that long getting built!

he's sent me some pics ..but i cant load them on photoshop i,, email them you chris if you wanna post them up ....he has had so much hassle getting it built ..its nice to see it up and running ..it was mapped properly yesterday and then to TOTB he hasnt emailed yet to say what the BHP figure was at 2.2 bar ....he is now running full Nismo suspension and a dry sump system with remote oil tank .......its great to see some mega powerful cars been brewed in the UK instead of the states and Japan

Hi Steve,

I was told he had called it time on his R33 and broken it up? i know he has an M6 now but didnt realise he still had his 33

I presume from the figures he has changed from the t04z turbo?

Mike

Yeah send me the email over mate and i'll stick em up.

Mike, at one time the project was abandoned but Matt then decided to carry on with it in memory of both his dad and rob. A good thing really as the project was so far along it would have been daft to leave it unfinished and break it.

matty Sent me this this morning !!!.........

Sorry mate battery died on my phone and car lol!

What a day! Awesome...

Ran 11.3 and 162mph top speed.

First 3 runs were stuck in rwd and last 3 the battery died and created a problem with the ecu and could only rev to 5500 rpm :-(

Finished the day, emptied the tank of race fuel and then (madness) nobody had switched the Solaris into high boost so I had only run with wastegate pressure haha.

Car is mega fast but has so much more potential - I think I left the longest number 11 of the day at well over 1/2 track going sideways!

Don't mind at all mate, dyno run has been tagged on my facebook account too but can't post a link on here - damn iPhone!

nice! what do you think of the solaris?

Still exploring all the features of the Solaris, we decided on it over the MoTeC for support and mapping. Next is mapping via the crank sensor rather than cas , launch control, flat shift, nitrous control and shift light.

Hi Matt,

Long time no see buddy, you will have to pop round and show me the beast when you have it back buddy :)

Dont you have a BMW M6 as well now?

For some reason i dont have your mobile number anymore?

Mike

Hi Mike,

I don't seem to have your number either since I changed phones.

You'll have to pm me your new address mate and I'll pop round for a brew.

Still have the M6 although I'll probably be selling it shortly, only bought it to bridge the gap whilst I had the issues so don't really need it now.
