Just undo the center nut mate and knock the carrier off the prop body.

 

Check if there are knotchy feeling parts of the hook joints as well while the prop if off.

Why are u changing it? Were you feeling knocking and noise from underneath the car when the engine was pulling?

The reason I am asking is that I might have to change it as well due to the symptoms described above...and in one of my help and advice threads.

I have vibration at about 2k revs, worst in 3rd/4ft gear so had the car over a pit and theres alot of movement in the bearing. I got mine off hear, just put up a wanted post or try Mike Feeney.

Going to tackle it in the next week or so, you need to dro the centre section of the exhaust and heat sheild to get at the prop. Not a hard job but will take a few hours I think. Paid £45 for the bearing.

not to bad then, going to have your prop balanced?

 

Not having a balance as the car is up for sale otherwise I would consider it while it's off.
