I have a carbon prop shaft not currently fitted to my car.

One of the previous owners had a problem with it, whilst it was on the car, the UJ has came away/unwelded itself from the shaft and i am wondering if anybody has ideas where i can get it fixed.

I have spoken to the member where it originated from and he advised me to try torqueline.......well i have emailed them twice without any success, so thougt i would try asking on here:blink:

The car did go to Jeffs place to have the work done [was a suspected clutch failure] and he though the car was to powerful for this type of propshaft, any thoughts on that???

Zedworld Jeff can do a lightweight single piece prop for a very reasonable price.

I'm considering one myself to do away with the prop bearing.

Might it be worth changing?

When you say lightweight, do you mean carbon fibre?

Here is the thread about your propshaft

Our single piece propshafts are steel not carbon, last pic shows what was fitted in place of the failed carbon one.

Thanks for that Jeff, do you not recomend a cf prop then? or just for my car due to the power??

If its failed once it wasn't up to the job in the first place, I wouldn't fancy driving round with a failed prop that's been repaired, where's it going to fail next
