Have never used the site but will soon be selling my Mercedes ML & was thinking of trying it on pistonheads - have many people used it? It says its free for standard adverts - appears to have a fairly wide audience these days, any comments??

I have sold twice on PH, cost me about 12 quid each time for a 30 day ad. first one sold and had interest, second was a Bike (GSX1000) and didnt sell. I think PH is better than e bay though.

Did you do a premium ad? says standard ads are free:

Apart from the premium ones being listed first the standard appears the same, still ad photos etc?!

As far as I am aware mate, it was just a standard ad, I didnt read or see anything that said there was a free way to advertise on PH.

Sold an xr2 on it last year with free ad, I think when you get to the last screen of adding an add the default might be premium and you have to untick it or something but mine was free for sure

i have used ph and found it to be really good, got loads of interest on the items and sold them very quickly.

i got three cars on there atm :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

 

i generally get good results on there.

 

the paid adverts show first in the search results and you get more pictures, only 3 allowed on the free ad.
