0.2bar boost increase

I Run at the min at about 8/9 bar of boost. I have bigger injectors to fit and would like to increase the boost up to about 1/1.1bar on 0.8mm tips

im guessing this would be safe to do so. got the chip for the injectors. big Smic, exhaust and filter. Stock engine and tubs

Any ideas on the hp gain i would get??

Not sure.. I run 1.0mm tips on stocky engine/injectors and I poop a brick.. probably wouldnt be trying 0.8mm unless I had injectors, but as you do.. go for it and tell us :0D

You can run 1bar (14.5psi) with stock injectors, most do.

Its never a bad idea to fit bigger injectors though. 1.2 bar (17.5psi) is going to be your max limit on stock tubs, before they produce too much heat.

You need to be concerned with the stock Internals on an Old engine though.

Really that much. That make the injectors more worth while lol!!!

so 1.2 will be safe then. Its only for overtakeing and the odd little blast. I very rarely use full boost. so the tubs are not under much pressure to get to hot if you know what i mean?

Internals from what i can tell are spot on. never uses oil and i did a compression with brian and they were all good. :)

As an overtake boost mode, or something like that, then yeh. There are Z's out there running around like that permantly but I would'nt reccomend it.

There's even Z's putting out more power than anyone in this club, 600hp+...on stock Engine Internals, albeit freshly rebuilt stock internals.....but its a case of longetivity.

Thanks for your help Dave

Thats good to know then, so the Vg seems to be a good strong engine.

What jets do you think 0.8 or even 0.6 or will the boost be to high on the 0.6?? iirc the 0.8 gave me about 1bar.

I would ebc but my money is being spent else where at the min.

I also have an uprated rad so that should help a little i hope lol!!
