i have and ibanez guitar with a floyd rose tremolo and the low E has started rattling i have changed the strings highered the bridge and still the same i have been told my neck may be twisted or warpped. any ideas :helpsmilie:

Does it have separate saddles, or is it the whole bridge as one piece?

 

You may have a high spot in some of your frets after the 12th fret, may need filing down.

it has the fine tune bridge IMO the rattle is between the 1st and 5th fret but im no expert

If you look from the headstock, down the length of the neck, you will see if its twisted. There will be a truss rod going through the neck that you can adjust to straighten or add bow, by using an allan key, it will be situated either at the base of the neck near the front pick up or at the headstock just above the nut, under a little plate hth

Also holding the low e string down at both ends (fret 1 and fret 12) the string will be straight so you can see if the neck is bowed.

 

If its just rattling on the locking top nut take the the top nut out and put a little shim underneath. I find a cut up credit card works well.
