im thinking about putting riddick out to stud, thing is ive heard mixed reviews, some say it makes them boisterous and some say it calms them down

 

thing is everyone who see's him always say's he is the best they have seen, i got offered £400 once to be a stud dog but refused, but now im thinking i might

 

anyone done this that could offer some advice before i advertise him?

i can get the bloodlines, i didnt register him as a pup but i do know the breeders and can get him sorted, a check at the vets would be done first, its not the money im after, its the popularity of the breed that would be goos to see grow, riddick is a very strong dog and i wouldnt mind seeing pups from him

 

when i got offered £400 for him before to be stud i refused as it was one of the local thugs, im sure he fights his dogs and the bitch looks very much like a pitbull rather than bulldog??

Certainly wasn't having a go at you bud, I just always think there's enough dogs out there already ;) Wish everyone looked after their dogs like you obviously do.

 

yeah i understand mate, if i was just breeding mongrels then i can agree, but as this breed is specific then these dogs wouldnt be abonded

i would have thought any decent breeder would need him to be kennel club registered first so that any pups could be sold on as pure breed,also showing him to get some certificates will go along way to put his price up if you are serious about using him as a stud dog.

title of this thread is asking if anyone knows about dog breeding, doesnt say anywhere about being a smart ass and having sly digs

 

not a dig or being a smart arse, says imo. As i agree with the guys about the dogs needing homes out there.
