Great advert for the BNP that, and they say they aren't racists. My arse. :cursing:

The Asian guy got what he deserved, spitting at someone is a disgusting thing to do, maybe he will think twice about doing it next time.

Agreed, but what a Fool for lashing out as a parliamentary candidate, especially on Camera.

wasnt the BNP guys fault, the asian assaulted him by spitting at him, i would have ripped his tounge out for doing that to me, the BNP guy was trying to usher them on their way

agreed, i want to see the full video before making a judgement tbh, as its just nice editing that the start of it all is missing, possibly to make the dude look like he is in wrong purely because he is BNP

Yes spitting at someone is a terrible thing to do but I think it's more than just "someone" from their point of view.... especially after being told "get on your ****ing way" and god knows what before the clip began.

"someone" or not, sticks and stones no matter what the asians were called, assaulting someone isnt the way to go around things, i would imagine that if the BNP were in the wrong then the BBC would have said what they had done to provoke them, also if they had been told to "get on your ****ing way", then why walk over to the BNP with a hoodie on and hiding your face, seems to me they had just pulled up and had got out of a car then approached the BNP spokesman

The candidate for Romford, Bob Bailey, was filmed shouting out to men in Ripple Road when one of them swore and spat at him and Mr Bailey punched him.

No assaulting ain't but neither is provocation hence why I said "god knows what before the clip began" but everyone is quick to jump to conclusions without knowing the facts. IMO they can beat eachother all day long for all I care.

I hate to say it but many british white people have gotten fed up with the way this country is run, and the way immigration has run amok, the government has been far to easy to please immigrants and other religions and it sometimes feels that britain has lost alot of its identity.

We have been a very tollerent society towards other cultures and religions but at the end of the day the british citizen doesnt want to felt like a 2nd class citizen in their own country.

Yes the guy deserved a slap for spitting, but did no-one hear the provocation at the beginning? "How many is there of us?" said the BNP tosser. He was stirring things - and he pushed the guy first. I'm not in any way condoning the spitting, btw. But I'll bet the BNP lot started it - they obviously went there mob-handed.

mob handed, they were merely having a tv interview, if you notice all three asians were kicking into the guy in th suit, only one other of the bnp members got involved in the fight, the others were merely shouting for them ALL to stop

i haavent voted for BNP nor do i support them, but in this case you cant blame them for this

i remember in school i was always told after having a fight that the reason "he called me" wasnt a reason to start a fight

No if you watch closely the young lad moved in close squaring up, the comments about how many of us to me says look don't be daft in trying anything you're out number, he tried verbally to send them on their way but they were confrontational in there behaviour but unfortunately didnt have the numbers or the nounce to back it up.

Being spat on is no reason to hit someone either if you want to go down that route of argument, especially if you're a candidate. He was only doing the "move on" thing because he knew he had back-up. And he instigated the physical stuff. Being squared up to is no reason to touch someone. I'm sure it was on here there was a video if a thug on an estate giving a karateka a mouthful and eventually getting punched after a good five minutes of up-close verbal.

The BNP lot were obviously pushing buttons judging by the reaction from the first Asian guy. Hard to say what though without seeing the whole thing.

spitting is a form of common assault, you do that to a policeman and you will prob be pepper sprayed, thrown to the floor, hancuffed, booked, charged and fined

Yes, but that's a policeman

A bit of spit only hurts pride, doesn't it? And that's where trouble starts - if one feels the need to punch another to defend something as pointless and intangible as pride/reputation, one is need of some self-control. The simple fact is that the BNP guy needless provoked a group of Asian guys - nothing good was going to happen. I'm still not condoning the spitting, btw.

but then the asian guy felt the need to spit, so the BNP guy decided to punch, both as bad as each other, just with the evidence in the vid it looks like the asian guy in the wrong, we could speculate all day long as to what went on earlier but untill the full vid is posted (or of) we will never really know

as said earlier, they could kick shote out of each other all day long for what they have both done, im not fussed

If someone spat at me, i wouldnt just stand there or walk away. In law we are told to walk away from trouble or if someone hits you to walk away, how can you. It has nothing to do with pride, its a form of assault, but to get back to the story, if one of the Asian guys was on his own, there wouldnt have been any trouble, its like any gang type warfare, bravery in numbers.

You can read into the situation as seen with several scenario's but as mentioned, i think the clip has been edited to cause the biggest reaction.

The whole situation almost seems orchestrated to inflame a reaction in one way or another. In essence it shouldnt have happened or been broadcast.

The BNP guy did not instigate anything, the lads were being confrontational, they could have quite easily had a civil conversation at a reasonable distance, as soon as the lad spat on him he crossed a line imo, anyone did that to me and they would get a slap, its a filthy derogatory thing to do.

I'm not fussed either. But I'm just trying to say this: do you think the guy would have spat at the BNP bloke if he'd not been so full of bravado and antagonistic in the first place? Would the guy have spat at the Labour candidate? Probably not because the Labour candidate wouldn't have had a van full of thugs and wouldn't have been seeking confrontation with the group of lads. If the BNP guy had been telling me to move on like that, I'd have wanted to clock him/spit on him too (but obviously wouldn't have).

Not aimed at StellaZ, just saying:

Just because we don't like a certain segment of society who are taking the piss (illegal immigrants/people abusing the handout system), there's no need to assume that all people who look like they could belong to that group are like them and bring those assumptions to the fore when looking at any bad behaviour from them.

And you'd get done for assault. Quite rightly. Being spat on is not a reasonable defence for punching someone, even if it is common assault.

fair enough he wanted to hit the guy who spat at him, but he was trying to kick the shit out of him when the lad was on the floor!!!!

I cant believe some of you are almost defending the hoodies! I would have knocked that tosser's head off his shoulders if he spat in my face
