Greddy Profec B Spec 2 thing

Right my car has a Greddy EBC fitted, it works fine ish. Its set to give 0.5 bar on low and 1.0 bar on high, displayed on a defi gauge. No problems there, apart from its quite laggy/no smooth when building boost. The car seems to build 0.5 quickly and then be a bit reluctant to increase up to 1.0 until its at higher revs. By that I mean the increase in boost pressure isnt smooth.

Its not a major issue but its something I would like to fix, does anyone have their settings for their EBC written down anywhere so I could try them in mine?

Anyway, last night i was driving home and it suddenly dawned on me that I could turn the EBC off so I though, aha i'll see what happens if its off. So turned it off and carefully put my foot down (watching the boost gauge incase the car went crazy, thankfully it did not) but what I got was a smooth build up of boost to 0.8bar. Which is odd as standard is 0.65 or so... And even odder because with my understanding the car should only have made 0.5 bar since the boost control system was essentially off... So whats going on guys???!

whats the set, set at? think it goes from 0-100% whats yours at? its the first setting when you turn the knob.

put the set gain to about 11-12psi if your aiming for 14psi. but for now just put it on 0 till you set the gain. Once the gain it set you can set this up, you got to make sure have no spike, the closer you set this to the desired pressure the more spike you will get. The further away you set this the slower your boost will build.

set the actual gain to about 8% then work your way up until it just starts to spike then try turning it down one or 2 clicks. if boost tails off to much at top end then set gain a little higher but if it spikes too much turn it down.

If you read the instructions manual it explains what each function does on the boost controller. If its a long delay your 'Gain' may be set to a funny %. If you state all your settings on boost we may be able to see it clearly. on my High boost i set it to 28% which boosts quick and gives a nice punch but runs out of puff around 5500rpm.

Cheers guys, when im next back at home on friday I will get the EBC settings. I have the book and do understand to some extent what each of the settings do, I just never have the time to actually go out in the car and change what i need to change to make it how I want it.

What I was really wanting to know about is why when the EBC is switched off does the car boost to 0.8bar?

Well 0.8bar 0.7bar is about 10-11 psi which is stock boost so theres nothing wrong there if just a little high. :)
