Any ideas what this means and why it got released to be done again? why does it need further clearance?

You will be getting a letter through to pay import tax costs i had one for parts i got sent for the USA

USPS will get the item into the U.K. then hold it until you pay the import duty/import tax. Be careful matey, as this is the postal service for the U.S. and it transfers, sometimes, to a U.K. postal service, be it, Royal Mail, Parcelforce, etc.. If you do not get in touch with the correct U.K. postal service, the item will be promptly returned. My advise is to check all U.K. postal websites with your tracking number. It happened to me and is a nightmare.

according to Martins title he is using UPS.... which isnt anything to do with USPS.

And UPS will deliver it in a brown van!!!

They are based at East Mids airport.

Most USPS stuff come in to Coventry where it is then onward handled by Parcel Farce UK or Royal mail for small stuff

yes its a terrible hobby as there are lots of crooks, but I have some great a very historically important stuff. I have a photo album of personal pitures of Hitler, Goering, Hess etc. Also I have one of Churchills Cigars and a baseball signed by all of the vets from the 101st Airborne Division (band of brothers). I have a reasonable collection, this is a very rare German dress dagger on route from the US that I bought from a Vets son whos dad was on the second wave of troops at Normandy.

cool i know he has a room full of stuff just could not stop looking around when i went in there, i dont think he has any old photo's though!
