Next weekend my car is being resprayed and I have spent some of this afternoon preparing the car for it. Its having a new front wing after its "mishap" with the wheel and a general tidy up as there is some paint missing on the bumpers and a fairly poor arch repair. Also going to sort out the rusted intercooler piping and generally make the car look like it should!

So I've removed both door cards, sill trim, rear/bottom boot trim, upper boot trim and the spoiler today. As well as head light seals, and taken bolts out of the bumper and wing to try and speed us up next thursday night when it goes into the workshop.

Plan is thursday night when im back from work to take my now dismantled car to the bodyshop place where a mate and I will work late to get it prepped and repaired thursday night. There is some repair work to do on a sill and door, small dents to get rid off and also some repair work on the drivers wing, another small parking ding! We'll mask the car of Friday morning then it'll be sprayed and baked in the afternoon and then in theory polished and rebuilt friday night/ saturday morning if we run over!

I should really have taken pictures but there wasnt so much time! I'll be taking pictures through the work we do at the end of the week though! Just a real pain im away all week for work AGAIN!

Nice one mate, looks like weve been busy on the zeds again, let me know how you get on with the respray as i want mine doing next year, and need to know costings ect, good luck with it.

See ya soon

Try and get it ready as in about 2 weeks me and a few mates are having a blast to the Trough of bowland.

It will be finished this weekend lol. Let me know when your off up there mate, i'll see if I can join you.

Its going to be mega cheap if im honest, this is me pulling in some favors, i've also lent one of the lads thats doing this for me cash in the past to buy a car while he sold another and he is one of my best mates. Its going to stand me at £450 but it would be a £1500+ job i expect. Also making use of a place over the easter break as apposed to doing it in "works time" as it were.

nice one mate, looking forward to seeing the pictures!!

sounds like a right nail ;)

looking forward to seeing the end results, your car looks awesome

Aye well, there are 6 in total, 4 actualy bolts and two locating points (IIRC) it was going very dark when i took it apart and taped it up.

Things to note on spoiler removal - the tailgate is effing heavy! THe gas struts are crap and if you take one off the other seems to be made of cheese and the tailgate drops on your head. I took the stupid weight of the tailgate to make life easier but it didnt help all that much!
