hi all my tt's runing a few mods(ecu decats exhaust induction) and i have recently upped the boost 14psi, the car will run fine for about 20 mins at this boost then drop in to safty boost, when stoping the engine for a while and re starting the car will run on full boost again for about 20 mins the the same thing will happen. i havent checked the ecu for error codes yet. any ideas?

sounds like the ecu is picking up detonation from the det sensor

 

1 - make sure you only run decent super unleaded petrol, shell optimax is best

 

2 - check your base ignition timing

 

3 - if the problem still persists then back the boost off a little

 

also - are you running a remapped chip?

i have an impul high power ecu i gess it still has the jap chip in it the car was runing with this on standard boost for a while and was runing well, like you sayi normaly run it on a higher octain fuel.
