My three cats are absolutely on form at the moment killing everything that moves and dragging it through the cat flap. In the last month or so we have had, bats, birds, mice, rats, voles, baby rabbit, and one of them tried killing one of next doors chickens today after they all roam about pecking in my garden/woods.
Ok now cats do their thing and they are hunters, im not in anyway going to say anything against that. Thing is all ours are hunter gatherers, they catch it and always bring it home to play with. In the last 24 hrs we have had 9 mice brought in. Two were eaten on the bedroom floor last night, three more were dead with the usual heads missing laid out on the floor at the bottom of the stairs for my wife to scream at after the shock of the others. One of the cats came in with a dead one through the cat flap and dropped it at my wifes feet. Came home this afternoon, one decapitated mouse on the dining room floor. I chased one round the lounge for ten minutes tonight and put him out the front door :sweatdrop:. And we were sitting here thinking oooh whats that smell and after turning the sofa over a big dead one stinking away!.
We dont have any mice in the house... its these cats keep bringing them in. A few weeks back we came home and there was a pigeon flying around they had dragged in.
Its getting to the stage I just spend half an hour every day running around after "survivors". A few months back I had to go to the doctors and ask for a tetinus. When he asked why I said because of mouse and rat bites... he looked at me very odly so I had to explain that when I chase them about I get bitten on occasions.....
