If it was me I would buy the new LED LG, fitted a sky HD on one today and was the best picture I have ever seen on a flat screen. Bit you are looking about £900 for a 40". I see about 5 flat screens a day doing my job. Stay away from philips never seen a good one yet.

LCD I did not think they made plasma anymore? anyhows better pic and it will not kill it if it is not upright all the time just get a 1080.

yep they still make plasmas, id still take a plasma over a LCD once you go above 32" any day of the week. Try Panasonic they make some decent plasma or JVC

panasonic v10 or g10 for me i have both plasma and LCD and i do prefer the plasma much better colours and the reaction time on lcd's really bugs me, as for smsung i have heard some bad things about some of there tv's and i agree with above would not touch a phillips at all

Get a projector I have nice 100" screen of pure HD all for under £500. And I can use it in bright sunlight. My other half loves using it for her Wii.

Which projector have you got bud? I have a HD Panasonic, its AWESOMEEEEEEEE

Call of duty on a 8ft screen in HD is the dogs danglies!!!!

Infocus DLP got it cheap on ebay was a ex display one half the price. Love it to bits. The other half killed me when it turned up but she loves it more then me now.

Nice, Infocus are great, I had one before the panasonic, but i needed the hdmi input which wasnt on my Infocus, but brilliant picture and queit fan.

People dismiss projectors until they see them running at home and all they can do is say WOW!! They are a little inpratical as the room needs to be slightly darker for best results and the fan noise is a little annoying even on 3 grand units!! but i love them.

This is one of the hottest debates going but I would say plasma for screens over 40". Practically, LCD is a lot lighter, but I believe Plasma performs better. Go for Panasonic.

I believe LED is the best however, but rather expensive at the moment.
