my laptop keeps switching off after roughly i think 1 hour ever hour, i also keep getting a message security center alert name net-worm-win32.dipnet.d is this related? what can i check for? i havent downloaded anything so not sure why this is happening.

When you run the scan, it will pick it up in the first 15 mins. you probably wont need to run the defrag, as that takes the longest.

Yep virus and not a nice one get a decent anti-virus on there like bit defender etc

 

and you wont need to worry again for a year ! ;)

i have got kaspersky, i got it free last year and this as well, cos i bank online with barclays. i can, and have used it on 3 computers each year.

i struggled with our main computer about 5 years back, had a mind of its own, and was desperate so tried combifix.
