Take your pick from :

HSD HR Coilovers

MeisterR Zeta Coilovers

BC Coilovers

SPL Coilovers

Powertrix coilovers

All pretty much the same, and I believe all are either made by BC or HSD.

Stick to a max spring rate of 8kg front, 6kg rear for a road/occasional track car.....some of the above may offer a higher spring rate as standard.

ย

Dont bother with K-sport, D2 or Tein SS and dont waste more on Tein flex/monoflex.

meisterr are great and he is doing them for ยฃ429 brand new for older stock and ยฃ550 for new ones iirc. with the money left over you can buy the adjustable camber arms that you need from him.

It would depend on what you want your setup for.. if you are intending to just drop the car and go for looks, just go for lower springs (Tein).. and yes sometimes lowering springs can affect the stock shocks, but you could buy some performance rated shocks too.. I am sure this is less than a set of coilovers still..

But, If you are intending to go rallying corners lol and you have your heart set on some coilovers.. BC seem good, but I am of the opinion D2 do some very good parts too.. I am sure someone will be along soon though to give you more info on good coilovers :) - ^^ there you go.. beat me to it lol

legrath, what is wrong with the d2 setup ? - I have heard good things about d2...

The Ksport/D2 brakes have a good reputation, but their coilovers have a terrible reputation. Poor valve damping and a history of leaking. A lot of vendors dropped the coilovers from their range.

ย

Their spring rates are also far too stiff which shows a lack of vehicle specific understanding.

thanks for all the advise, i was just looking at the hsd smoothie coilovers. and they look a quality set up, good price to! think i might go for hsd..

i have the BC ones and the build quality and ride comfort are spot on. better than the Teins i had one. they can also supply the correct spring rate.

ย

Highly reccomend :gunsmilie:

I have TeinFlex SS for over 3 years now and cannot fault them. Great set of coilovers, for a great price imo.
