CRX's are great cars! Go for the 1.6 vti 160bhp standard, great handling too! Super quick little cars :) my missus has one. You can get them with a manual roof that comes off, or the more desirable 'transtop' electric roof. Theres a few around with b18 conversions (1.8 vtec 190 bhp) which are just bonkers!! As with zeds there old so check for damage, scratches etc..they are well built, The thing to look out for is rust over the rear arches.

I had one for 3 years - Top Spec B16A Engine Crx delsol - The Civic title means it's a UK / US model.. Crx in the title means it's a jap.

First things to look for are Oil coming from the Cam Seal which is just next to the Vtec Solenoid, also while you are looking around that area, check the engine stamp.. depending on the spec you are going for if it is a 1.6 uk model.. it should say B16a2 160bhp (vti).. the number denotes area.. 2 europe, 3 I think is america vti is called VTEC in america..and if it doesn't have one, then it is a Jap (SiR) 175bhp standard... they do do a few other poverty models like the esi.. which is a 1/5, but we wont go there lol

To be honest, you would be best going for the SiR as it comes with all the extras like the Gathers speaker package which also has litle tweeters in the doors and interior map lights built into the door handles, and a few other little refinements which I can't remember right now, namely though, a redline of 8200rpm and make sure the seat stripe matches the colour of the cars exterior, climate control settings, a/c and a nicer looking dash in general.. different rear tail light garnish, different brake and headlights and some if you are lucky extra lower fogs.. Captiva Blue Pearl is the most sought after, aswell as the transtop electric roof as mentioned..

if you go for a transtop listen to it working, it will naturally be a little noisy as there is 115+ moving parts but if it sounds clunky.. then it may need repairing.. check if it has the manual winder just incase...

I used to be a moderator on the delsol forum and also started off the last forum which was dsoc so i'll dig out the new buyers section tomorrow for you..
