Brakes question

FINALLY GOT THE ZED N THE ROAD BUT BRAKE PEDAL HARD AND NOT REALLY STOPPING , AND ADVICE , ID LIKE TO STAY WITH THE STANDARD CALIPERS FOR THE MOMENT BEST PADS ?? SHOULD I FIT BRAIDED HOSES ??:helpsmilie:

sounds like possible seized pistons in the calipers have you had the brakes stripped down or was it off the road for other problems? if it is seized pistons you may be able to free them off using the pedal or some wd40 to help.

im all so having this problem at the moment changed my pads and dics about 200miles ago and were working fine un till a few miles ago when the abs pump made a load of noise and the peddle went realy stiff and brakes dont work properly? they all so squeal a lot but i think thats because i removed the metal shimes and only used the rubber ones they came with?
