ive just searched for the latest avg download and found it on a site, it is offering a free windows computer scanner, i just wondered if anyone has done it or should i not install it

ah, cheers mate, cnet is the site that is offering the free windows scanner, but it links to another site

Yeah it'll probably tell you that you're either infected (your PC, not yourself ;) ) or you have missing drivers (or both) of which they can sort out (for a fee!)..... Don't bother it's not worth it.

 

Why do you think you need a PC scan?

it just offered a pc scan so thought i would do it, never bothered in the end, am dowloading avg 9.0 free edition

 

hopefully sort out my secure page prob lol
