I love carp fishing like i love my zed, this is what makes you glad to do it.

 

The world record for a carp has been beaten, with a fish of 94lbs,

my best is 42lb, and that was big, but this is huge...

Tis a very nice carp, I love my fishing too but it's far to cold for me at the moment.

i bought some carp gear last year,not used it yet though lol

not really sure how too :rofl: i do sea fishing and fancied something different.

 

will have a go later in the year and maybe i get some of that beginners luck lol

Mostly south coast, used to do a fair bit at Harefield / Savay when i lived in London,

Done France a few times, but trying to sort out a cat trip at the mo to the Ebro in Spain.

Biggest cat i've had so far is only 27lb, my mate has done a 71lb, both were UK fish in the UK.

Carp fishing..........thats the daddy, once you start......your hooked......ermn, well the carp is hopefully. Fantastic sport, pastime, hobby, whatever, its exhilarating.

never tried fresh water fishing done some sea angling thats fun now!:sleep1:

Been carp fishing since I was 13, love it to bits in the summer these days laying by the bank :o)

 

Never been to any big fish lakes and my biggest is 28lb

just got into fishing the last coulpe of years not fished for a monster carp yet (will this year) my pb 16lb (ha ha) but i havent fished for carp this last year, i've been tring the river severn for barble and had 8lb & 13.2lb and the i had one go at pike and got 4.6lb and a 9.0lb

I did pike fishing for a month when at school, only caught one about 5lb but was the bet fight ever! Felt like about 20lb lol

i had a couple of cats from dream lakes, they fight like mad! ebro sounds awesome some real lumps in there. cant this year geting married :scared:

just reading angling times about this carp also a guy caught a big pike in the snow. So i was thinking (as i am a novice) whats the chances of catching anything in this weather i was thinking pike or barbel in the river severn i might go this weekend, any info would be great

Pike, Chub, Barbel, Roach and Perch all feed quite well in the winter.

and Beluga sturgeon!

 

Caught this one a couple of years back when it was freezing..

 

 

This was just a little one at 50lb, they go to over 80lb in that lake (which is in the UK!) Biggest I've had out of there is 63lb.

 

Superb mate, got those in a local lake near to me, see them, but not got one yet.

They are pretty easy to catch mate, single hook about 2/0 size running lead and a lump of trout on the end. One session we had at that lake, my mate caught 11 of the buggers in 12hours, since I was acting as gilly I was knackered..lol
