i know it wont be great, but would it replace all the crap ive got, im not wanting arms like yours mate lol, i like me beer to much for that lol

Can't beat a set of good old fashion weights, get some dumbells and a barbell. Plenty of weight training sites to give you examples of excercises to do depending on the areas you want to focus on. This will build muscle which in turn will burn more calories combined with some cycling or jogging.

I always find these machines are bought on impulse and usually end up in the wardrobe or under the stairs only to gather dust.

i know what you mean, its just that they have used their slogan 'get you in the best shape of life. '

try to stick to traditional methods, is there a gym near you?

free weights would be best but they can be expensive to buy.

do you run with your dog? be advantagous for both of you.

machines like these are fin for a little while, but then you stop gaining as your body wants a change, thats where things get harder.

^^^^As above! Don't waste your money.

Back to basics with some simple dumbells, barbell and body weight exercises are all thats needed.

In my line of work, I see so many of these home gyms stuck in garages and lofts collecting dust. For most (not all) they are a waste of money, used for a very short period and then never again.

LOL!! I actually used to have one of those!

To be honest it is quite a good workout & is quite adjustable for different resistance. A mate of mine was into bodybuilding at the time & laughed when he saw it but admitted it was quite a good work out when he tried it!

If its good enough for Chuck its good enough for you!! :shuriken:

Mate, do yourself and favour and save yourself a couple of quid:

Body weight exercises....pushups, squats, situps, etc....if it gets too easy and you can easily do 50reps a sitting, stick some books in a rucsac and do it wearing that!!

THEN join a gym....

i have free weights, its more for cardio rather than muscle gain, ive tried all that going to a gym stuff, i get bored with it easy, where as if i have the stuff in the house i do it, and have been for a while now, i was jogging with the dog but as its now winter the field where we go is very muddy and slippy and i hate jogging the streets as there is too many distractions for riddick to run in front of me lol

just like to keep the weight off rather than build muscle and thought this would roll all my benches and machines into one so to speak
