Had a little bit of free time yesterday at work so started doing some bits on the zed project!

Removed the rear spoiler - should knock about 0.5 sec of the 0-60 time with the weight saving!

Was supposed to be silver but duffer painted it :sneaky2:

I think it will look nice mate. But then I think you will need to remove the rear spoiler as with a 99 spec front it tones the agressive down a bit.

Muhahahahaha, that brings back memories. :D Good times...

Well, havnt reported anything as got a bit demoralised last week (as you do with these rebuilds!).

Was under the car ready to treat the underside & seam sealer all the joints when I noticed a patch that the restoration shop had not welded properly

Good news is they came straight over & are getting it back in to re-weld (they had tacked some plates in position but not welded it up). Bad new is that its right on the wheel arch & may need repainting! :crying:

Good news is they have agreed to pay my mate for any paintwork needed! :thumbup1:

At least they are putting it right but just adds more time to the build!

So, collected it from the bodyshop & got it back to my garage - time to get a few bits done now. Spoiler now on & 99 rear lights in. Looking good!

Hang on in there bud! Its the nature of the beast doing a major rebuild I guess!

Its a bit annoying as I didnt scrimp on the panel work - found a proper restoration company & it probably cost around £1200 just for the metal work as I didnt just want it patched! New genuine nissan sills & rear repair panels & wheel arches so it would be as good as it could be!

You could say that LOL! Make sure you fill the sills with wax to protect it & ensure the targa drains are in good order! :)

ok i reckon if i dont clean me lug holes for the rest of the month i should have enough wax by then

cheers mate! :thumbup1:

Sweet! Let me know when you have them ready - are they taken from one of these or are they a custom design? :)

Have been flat out the last 2 days, is now insured, taxed & tested!

Brakes have all been cleaned & gave the calipers a quick lick of paint until I can get a big brake upgrade.

Wheels now on - what do you think?! To big or just right?! The rears do sit slightly out from the arches!
