My Canon IXUS500 has run its course now and tbh its served me well. The battery is no longer holding charge and also the pic quality isn't as good as most now and to top it off the screen is very small.

So i'm in the market for a new one. Nothing fancy like SLR's lol, just a standard camera that takes good quality pics and with a good shutter speed - one that takes the bloody pic when i push the button!!! That is a MUST!

Am only looking to spend around £100-150 mark as i don't use it alot really.

Have had a quick gander in Comet and Currys but nothing really jumps out at me. So what are peoples recommendations? And also where from.

Cheers,

Isaac

h mate, how is this camera?

Its very good tbh mate! The only little thing i am not overly keen on is its not as weighty as i'd like. Thats probably a good thing but i like stuff to be a bit weighty lol.

As for quality and what not i can't fault it. Bare in mind tho that you WILL need to fork out another few quid for a memory card as the internal is appalling tbh!!

HTH :)

I picked up a Panasonic FX150 and very happy with it, with an all metal construction it has a nice solid feel to it and its very sharp even in low light.

I've been using it a while now and i'm impressed with the speed of the shutter. Much better than my last camera and gives me the ability to take good pics without them turning out blurry. I'm sure there are very expensive cameras out there which do it quicker but i am very impressed with the shutter speed.
