I know you are allowed to drive your car to the MOT station and back with no MOT, but where do you stand with having no road tax.

 

I assume basically shouldnt be on the road.....but ovioulsy cause i dont have an MOT i cant get road tax.lol! So wondering what the law is on this.

garage trade plates? not sure on the legality - you'd have to check with them...

If you've got insurance on another car then just phone that insurer and ask them to temp insure you. This is what I have done when there is overlap between buying and selling a car, worked with a few different companies, one for a week and another for a month, last one for the week was only £14...that was admiral, I've done it with esure when I was with them as well

My insurer wont allow me to add the other vehicle as it's a U.K. car & my insured car is an import!
