October 14, 200916 yr I know you are allowed to drive your car to the MOT station and back with no MOT, but where do you stand with having no road tax. I assume basically shouldnt be on the road.....but ovioulsy cause i dont have an MOT i cant get road tax.lol! So wondering what the law is on this. I assume its no road tax shouldnt be on the road?

Craig, i spoke with a work colleague of mine, about this recently. He said that you can drive to an MOT centre for the test but you arent allowed to drive it back without an MOT. Basically saying, if you drive it to the test centre without an mot, you legally can't drive it home without having passed it's test. Im not sure about the road tax but im sure someone will be along soon with an answer.
