Movie Maker ? WTF ??

Dont have Windows Movie Maker on my PC.

Dont know why as it should be there, but it aint.

If I am wrong, please correct me, but its no longer available ?

 

Windows Live is the equivalant I think, but only works with Vista.

 

I am still on XP, Service Pack 3 installed.

I cannot find a free Download for Windows Movie Maker 2.1 or thereabouts ??

 

Various sites saying they can, but when you click to download it, it keeps taking you back to Microsoft Update ??

 

Any help on this, or any other software available that lets you plug in your Cam and import the footage, edit it, add music, effects etc ?

 

In my sig you have my attempt with my old Camaro which my daughter mainly did, using WMM, but she is in China, so am goosed !

 

Cheers, and explain it to me in idiot terms ! Not PC literate !
