Turbo inlet ??

Hi im after some technical advice with the turbo inlet!

The turbo inlet measures about 3inches in dia.

My question is as im having pipework made up to fit does the pipe work have to be 3inch in dia to the turbo?

Would i gain any advantages in doing this?

Knowing that the standard pipework is around 2/2.5dia would it be easier to just adapt the original pipe work to my new turbos?

Cheers

Dan

for the inlet, it's nearly all 2.5" except for the stock inlet pipe itself as it's crush bent and the accordian pipes, both of which can be replaced by 2.5" piping, no need to go bigger
