i assume you have just connected the front speakers to the back of the stereo

not that silly

any other ideas?

is yours uk or jap? LWB isn't it? what year?

if it's a UK then i would say that your front speakers are not very quiet, it's your rear speakers being very loud due to the in line amp.

hi ian

its a uk LWB...1990

if i fade it fully to the front and turn it right up can only just hear it .. its all connected properly too

may just be the speakers

hmmm, fairly sure all UK were fronts driven straight off the head unit and rears off an in line amp.

it's possible that it may have been an optional extra to get the bose fronts which have an amp built in to the speaker housing, but if you werent powering the amp you would get next to nothing

quite likely if you still have stock fronts that they are knackered

Have you tried connecting the front speakers to the rear amp to see if they go louder?(with rear speakers disconnected) If they do then there is a wiring problem.

I ran all new cable into the front and back due the Nissan speaker cable not good enough for what i wanted. I have 600w (150 rms) front and 600w (200w rms) rear, leading to a 3200w amp no probs. Hope this helps!
