seems as though there is more and more about these days, i used to get a few addicts a year trying to rent rooms off me, but these days it seems as though they are more like a few every month, but now they are getting clever, they go to drug addiction meetings and say they are turning their life around, they ask for vouchers to get smart clothes for job interviews and those that dont use the vouchers for drugs get the clothes to obtain bedsits flats and so on, they turn up all smart and have all the fancy refrences (fake) so sometimes if we are busy we dont do background checks and take them on first apperences, but fook me a few days later and the room is usually wrecked and it seems that all the addicts of sunderland know about the room they have and turn up at all hours of the day

why some people want to put that stuff into them is beyond me, but as i said it seems as though there is more and more out there, im having to be more vigilant and it seems im dubious about everyone these days which doesnt help decent folk get the rooms

anyone else deal with addicts on a daily basis, apart from holes in the arms, is there anyway to tell an addict on first apperences, anything that may help me identify one before its too late would be nice to know of

Last week one of our gas fitters knelt down on a needle that had been delibrately stuck upwards in between floor boards, under the carpet to catch the coppers out.

FOOKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If i was prime minister, i would import 10 ton of pure cocaine and just give it away. let all the smack heads go of their trolley and OD.

my cousin was on it she ended up with a loser of a guy who introduced her to it, they had 2 kids who when born were addicted to heroin too and she was so pretty and ended up looking so rough and thin, so sad to see what this drug does

well Im a drug dealer so I see addicts either on a daily or weekly basis depending what stage of the program they are on.:D

There is no such thing as a typical addict. some indeed are scumbags with criminal records but others are simply ordinary people who are caught up in something they never really intended to get in to.

Dont be so judgemental guys.

You wouldnt be saying that if it was a member of your own family involved.

Drug taking is common in the UK now and many families have to cope with the heartache of having a family member, or loved one or friend caught up in this evil business.

Dont get me wrong Im not in favour at all of drug use and I would certainly nuke/eliminate those members of the big criminal underworld who import and deal in these drugs, but we need to be careful in tarring everyone with the same brush.

There are plenty of addicts living in stable family homes. Eg kids still living at home and parents trying to support them etc.Middle aged and younger people from all walks of life. You wont see or meet thes one though Allan as they are not looking to rent bedsits etc.

Lots of them make me angry too mate.

However when you see them lying in the street etc obviously high etc these are not the ones the clinic are treating cos to be on the program you have to pass "clean" on regular urine samples. +ve test means they will be off the program and back on the street or back "inside" LOL

it`s the fallout of prohibition..it`s never worked in the past ( u.s booze etc) and it`ll never work in the future, there`s no control! it`s all in the hands of crims who don`t care..people will always take drugs, have done since time began,i`ve never been physically addicted to anything, so can only imagine how it runs your life if it`s the path you choose.some people are just assholes n some are assholes who take smack!
