:slap:

Wife has a ford street ka and she has been complaining that the sound system is crap so i told her if she sold her hard top for it i would upgrade the sound system in it!!

So to start i picked up a sony usb stereo from ebay along with some 7x5" door speakers and some 6x9's for the rear.

All was going fine with the head unit and front speakers, infact all was in within an hour so i knew the rears would be a bitch and god how i was right

Took the carpet out and realised they would not fit, there was oem brackets in the way and the carpet sits about 15mm off the bulkhead so the speakers would not sit right anyway so ended up having to make a spacer our of mdf, panel beat the oem brackets out of the way, screw the mdf spacer to the bulkhead then put the carpet back in then put the speaker fronts on and screw through the carpet to secure them.

So a hard days work arsing with the stereo but jesus it sounds good, 4 decent speakers in a tiny car :)

Fingers crossed i will get "thanked" later ;)
