It has since been realised though after communicating with a few of you by pm etc, that it may be worth setting up a meeting place for those who want to head there with me and isaac on the day

So this thread has been started to discuss where is best to meet for those that wish to etc ?

 

would be nice to have a little chat and a cuppa and what not ie: at Iaac's or a service's that's convenient for all before heading towards Wigan

 

please post you're thoughts and suggestions here and add you're name to the list if you would like to meet up before hand and travel there with us lot :D

Please remember guys that if you are meeting up before hand AND you want to be on the stand you will need to be at haigh hall before it opens. I think we needed to be there between 8am and 9am last year and there was a queue to get in.

Also, I know I keep saying this but, if your bringing a car and you want to be on the stand you need to let me know asap. If your name isnt on the list at least a week before then the spare spaces will get reallocated.

 

I will be bringing a gazebo, a small single flame cooker and a kettle/pans etc :)

If anyone wants to bring some foldup chairs, tea, coffee, food then feel free

If people want to they are more than welcome to meet at my place before we head to Haigh Hall. I know a nice way there avoiding motorways which is actually a rather fast route there, going thru Rufford, and over Parbold Hill etc.....

 

If you do want to do that tho, it does mean coming into Southport. If that does'nt exactly appeal to some people then i don't mind meeting somewhere else if it helps any of you out.

 

If we have to be there for between 8 and 9am then i suggest people getting to mine for about 7am if possible and we will then leave at 7.30. If all goes well we should get there for not much after 8am which leaves time for any traffic/queues we may incur.

 

I know Chris is wanting to meet at mine, so maybe a couple of you near him can kinda convoy to mine as Chris has already been to mine once before.

 

What do people think???

 

Also Pete, what kinda stuff are you wanting people to bring, do you think it is worth making a basic list and maybe people can offer to bring certain things etc..... Again people don't have to partake in bringing stuff but if a few would like to then we can club it all together and some poor sod can cook it (btw thats not me, i am in no way a cook LOL).

There will be food there so you dont have to bring food unless you want to. I was just thinking of bringing some sausages and buns because they are easy to cook in a frying pan :)

Basically there will be a small single jst gas cooker, a kettle and a frying pan. Its not fast so I will be bringing a flask or 2 to put boiling water into. What you decide to bring is up to you but everyone is more than welcome to use the cooker in between kettle runs :D If you want somewhere to sit, then bring a folding chair. I will be bringing a couple but not enough for everyone

Just need to wait for certian people to log in and sort out where and when to meet if that's the plan we intend to go with before hand , plus i know Darren is a away at the min but did mention to him about the club stand and said i could relay back on his behalf if needed

Where about's are you in Cheshire mate?, i live in Deeside and work in central Chester and as Isaac says there's a few of us meeting up to head there and on to the show so if you wanna tag along with us could meet somewhere ?

Well i'm thinking the earlier the better if some have a place on the stand , Isaac did mention 07.00 at his house in Southport and can have a quick natter and a brew before we set off , i wil be bringing at least one passenger and there may be one or to coming in z's from my way etc. :D

 

Is Southport to far for anyone to come to as a set off point ??

Just so everyone knows i have no problem with peeps meeting at my house, plenty of cups for brews ;)

 

One thing i will say tho is we will be taking the motorway as i got mixed up with the location of Haigh Hall so the scenic route is a no no really, unless we set off a bit earlier in which case we could have a brisk drive thru the country :cool: I'll go with the majority on that one.

Hi guys just checked with Multimap I'm 30 mins away from Wigan but 1.25 hrs away from Southport. If okay with stallion1 meet at M6 Junction 19 at approx 07.30 then meet you guys somwhere near to Wigan. Would have to take mobile numbers to contact each other to meet up. Sounds good if that’s the difference in mls , its best for ya to head straight there then , with a few from you're end if ya can, and yep we can always meet up in the Wigan area, and have a quick natter then head in :D
