I work offshore mate on the oil rigs. The joys:rofl: So we work for 2weeks doing 12hour shifts everyday whether you be dayshift or nightshift.

To be truthfully honest mate the work isnt normally hard..but when the shit hits the fan it is solid, and very demanding. Whats really hard is the time away, once you hit your last 4 days of the trip the previous 10days of 12hours start to catch up on your and you feel tired and worn down so it gets pritty demanding then aswell to keep going.

But its all worth it in the long run:D! Great time off, 2weeks at one time then 4weeks the next time.

em.......i done a 20months at colleage in edinburgh then 2years offshore training was required to become a full instrument tech. Completed that early and now into operations training and been doing that for 8months now so all in just about 3 years mate. Can complain get a good life from it that i can buy cars like what i have at the age of 20.lol., just turned 21 now tho but had the car before that:D! But still love it.

would suit me perfect. no family or owt to tie me down. how long you been doing it matey??

What do you do mate? no family.........youngster or what?

kool kool. Mechanic on cars or what? you got a trade.....if you where seriously intrested i could get you details for putting your cv in or i couuld e-mail it in for you.

I use to do nights at my last job, god what a nightmare for trying to go out with friends on a night! Love my current job :)

I love my job....just need to get the body and mind into nights that the only thing then ill be fine.lol. Getting myself in the mood for ibiza, just staying awake at night time:D!

What company do you do the off shore work for??? , i may know it and work with them as such lol

Chris

TAQA mate.....they just bought the rig from shell?

enjoy ya nite shift mate, i will enjoy my stella

and whats these changes to ya zed that ya on about

Changes.......not really many to be honest...

HID lights

Possibly lime green calipers

Maybe upgrade the interior, or have a go at leather resoration myself...

The engines the main thing but dont know whether to rebuild or replace.

Replace saves me plenty cash for other mod such as body work repair underseal and maybe larger spacers and a nice headunit.

get it replaced mate, they are fast enough as is, but remember to tell who ever does the work to keep the flywheel you have as its a lightgened and balanced jobbie

do you still like it mate, any regrets????

I do really like it mate.......

My only regret was giving it the odd hard time coming home to show my pal up.lol. think that might have caused the knocking to get harder. But thing is with zeds.....i love it when im in it but find it hard sometimes loving it spending cash all the time on it.lol. But i love it so far just want to get her up and running so i can get to loads of car shows next year. Thats my big plan.

The thing is........i bought yours as the engine replacement was cheaper than a manual conversion...that was why i got yours to be honest.lol.

Only thing is.......will i still achive around the 346bhp you have with a new engine aslong as the same chip, flywheel etc???

cant see why not, may even be better, who knows???, it is a quick car for what ive had done to it

love ya sig, looks great

I know.......think i will post a thread up soon as im discussing with my big mate at work my plans for the car etc etc.

I love the car, i think i need to sort the back suspension out tho so its not as twitchy....even in the dry it can still move.lol. Doesnt give for very good acceleration of the line.

lol. Well....im thinking replacement engine due to the fact of how much cash it will leave over for me to have the rest of the car sorted out. Any ideas how low the mileage on the engine are jeff supplies?

not sure mate, you would have to take that up with him

cant wait to see it up and runing as it should

Tell me about it........as the bmw is sold i will be going about on my pedal bike as my motorbike isnt running the now.lol. so i wont it done.

the big fella who i came down with is looking to sell his corolla for something...maybe a newer type evo. Then next year we are going to do alot of traveling possibly and goto japfest santa pod and mibi the nurinburgring.....thats the plan anyways so im really excited to get the zed up and running. once its all going and the way i like and you get yourself another ZED (()) we should have a meet mate?

ahhhhh just get yourself one, you know they are beautiful cars and there is nothing about that you can buy with this kind of performance unless you fork out mega bucks!

One thing i am thinking on doing is putting the air conditioning back in the car tho.

lol, just because its coming into the winter.lol
