Spoke to a nice gentleman at zcentre

he went through the engine over the phone.

he said it sounds like i am missing an electrical unit that sits horizontally to the engine near the turbos and is cylinder shaped.

he said i need to find these replacements however he also asked me to check for the recirculation valves under the head light panel.

can someone show me what these look like and wether they are there? he said if i had the original air filter box it would of been under that

i am going to take some pictures of the recirc valves and the side of the plenum where i am missing the cylinders that control boost (these have a 2 pin connector)

seems mine are missing which can be resulting in my boost problem.

if i take a picture later can someone compare it to their TT engine?

Is this a 'new' problem or something that has existed since you took ownership of the car, or perhaps had some repairs carried out. I cannot understand how things could be missing if it was running OK before. If the recircs are siezed (unlikely) then you would experience problems.

the fella at zedcentre went through a walkthrough of the car over the phone as i mentioned about this problem with the car hesitation under full boost.

i mentioned that the car has hoses come from the front of the car to near where the actuators go (or boost solenoids) except they are not plugged in.

First he mentioned what my pipe looks like and i explained that the two vac pipes went from the turbo pipes each side of the engine. He said i should find a cylinder that is horizontal to the engine on each side of the engine.

mine are not there...

so i have no cylinders (which are are inch in diameter and inch and half long) and no boost solenoids plugged on.

I did mention the car hard boost jets and he said it could be apart of the boost jet technique as to why they are thrown away.

he said this could be the cause of the problem but i will show you the pictures later when i finish work.

He said someone might have some knackered engines and these should still be on the old engines so i should try to find them from members or traders.
