As above, have to work 8 till 1 and all on me own with one mechanic! always busy busy busy really must get a job with weekends off!

Tell me about it :mad: i was on a 8-1 , but had it changed at last min so it's 7-3 now , hate getting up at 5.30 on a saturday!

I am working 1pm - 10pm today, I would rather work Sat morning and have the evening free.

i know waking up and coming to work on saturdays boils my blood, and it ruins my friday night aswell. got nothing to look forward to

Yep off out tonight, so no chance if they ask me to stay , im in tomorrow though 8-6 but then off for 3 days:nana2:

Sounds interesting to be fair i always wanted to get in to the motor trade not very mechanically minded though so it would be in sales prob lol, i do something similar now (sales and support) for a division of Siemens

 

and yep allot more people in the car trade seem to opening longer hr's and weekends ?

 

only if i got extra pay for weekend shifts :cool:

i get overtime for weekends but only up till 1, anything over that i dont get paid. been in the motor trade since school and to be honest wish i didnt. customers am ar**holes

Lol , i can relate to that there a pain !!, i got to motor vehicle engineering nvq level 2 in college but forgot most of what i learned :mad: , i'll have a go at the more easier jobs but anything i don’t understand i'll put my hands up and take it somewhere

 

i kind of did always want to be a mechanic ,but after being in customer services for over 5 yrs now , i can only imagine some of the issues you get :cool:

i dont miss working weekends at all! in my old job it was shift work and id be working all over the place - sundays, saturdays, weekdays. glad i jacked that one in! the only beenfit was having a weekday off so places you wanted to go were actually open! (banks, shops, etc)

lol, i know mate, whats customers dont understand is we are here to fix the cars when they go wrong, we dont manufactor them, i cant help for poor design or build quality. I would never talk to people in the way they do to me, but they do seem to get their own way with the management. id like to tell them to put their car where the sun doesnt shine lol.

im sitting eating a bit of mince pie for my brekkie, jus had shower, gonna have a redbull to loiven me up and get rid of hangover lol

Sounds about right !! i always go to the local type of garage as there great! and always that little more friendly, but yep i bet u've had a few people come back and say this aint been changed and you where supposed to do this!!! when u've

 

(A) clearly changed the item's, or (B) done the work they requested

 

Annoyed the hell outta me and i was only on the sale counter !!
