Another top speed day has been arranged for October 27th Sunday at Elvington Airfield near York. The taxiway is just short of 2miles long and the speed camera equipment will be set up at 1.6 miles rather than the 1.2 miles of last time. Fastest last time was an R33 at 198mph, so the extra 0.4 mile should break the 200mph. The track is concrete. Timed head to head 1/4s and top speed runs from 10am to 5pm. Should be 60+ cars going from different clubs, skylines, supras, GTiR, vipers, etc.

Special clothing should consist of sturdy underpants and a helmet! Road legal cars and no slicks are the only rules. £70 on the day.

If anyone would like to go to it please email me so that I can provide the organiser (Chris Mann / 200+ Club) with a list of 300zx attendees.

Hahaha makes me laugh, yep the old Skylark might look like a boring saloon car to some, but it's got bollox the size of a pitbull when it needs to show who is really the king of the Jap Jungle!!!

Slight change of price on the above event, as we dont have enough cars to take over the full event, its been opened up to both cars and bikes on the day. The cost is now going to down to only £30 for the full day, not £70 as previously advertised. £5 to spectate per person. Will still be 1/4 mile head to head runs (car/car, car/bike, bike/bike) and top speed runs over 1.25 mile of the runway, leaving 0.75 miles to slow down. Rocket Ronnie in his Skyline R33 is looking to brake into 200mph, he got 198mph last time he was there. The runs start at 10am on the day, and as it is on airfield concrete will run regardless of weather on the day. So far only 4 people from here have said they are going to go along and run their cars!
