been a month since i was on any MMORPG..... luckily i did not lose my wife but after spening 38 hours a week at work i spent a further 60 hours at home on games like wow, ffxi and warhammer.........

Only problem now is my addiction has been replaced with the car and so i spend all day searching these forums ^^

oh well atleast i have something to show for it ^^

warning to Women........... DO NOT let your fellas on these games if they have an addictive personality and you want more company ....... although if your fella hassles you for nookie ALL the time like i do my wife it may be a viable option as i never asked for it when i was recieving my wowcrack.

Starting to slow down in my old age (23) and whilst my wife feels like she is 23 again i am starting to feel like i am 34 >.

You seen that vid on youtube about halo 3 wrecking his life tis funny

Now i dumped my last girlfriend I dont feel like im cheating on the xbox any more, she is the only one for me lol

I hear you.

I was "addicted" to a fair few over the last 10 years.

RA2 online was my first major addiction. I was ranked 1st in England for many months in a row and was always in the top 15 in the world.

Eve-online took over from that and this was a 3 year life draining experience, I went form flying round in a newbie ship to running a 5500 member alliance.

Them came WOW. Got 2 characters to level 70 and was on there everynight for a few hours.

It's only when I met my wife that I could see how much of my life I was wasting. I quit playing all online games a few days after we starting dating. It was not an influence form her as she didn't know I played at that time.

It's amazing how much you can get done in the time you don't play.

The closest I get to all that now is playing the Xbox now and again and imob on my iphone and to be honest that's only 10 mins a day.

lol how strange only last night me and the mrs had a huge row over wow as she wanted to watch the telly as she had got all her gear night before and couldnt be arsed raiding. im not a telly fan at the best of times so i went on wow anyway.

after being told im a games addict i told her that as i dont drink or smoke and no longer spend any money on cars what so ever and also dont follow or watch football either but as we both live and work together spending time away from each other is good hence i play wow with her at times but can play a lot better when i play on my own anyway

she wasnt happy one bit when i said ill tell you what you give up drinking and smoking and ill give up playing all computer games and we both give up wow all together she soon changed her tune

I play wow...but its only ever very late at night when wife has gone to bed and I would otherwise just be watching crap on TV. Im a bit of an insomniac anyway.

I'd prob feel guilty and get moaned at if it was at any other time.

I do get moaned at for being on this forum though...or if I even mention the Z !

AHHHHHHHHHH.

please don;t tease me ^^ Must Resist geek fest.

i recently built myself a pc for the purpose of running 4 clients of wow on the same pc and levelling all 4 in a party of my own to 60.

i was getting 4 x 60's every 2 days /played using the RAF (recruit a friend) system that entitles you and friends you invited (in my case 3 new accounts) and all members in a party get triple exp. Used to get named all sorts... Cheater, botter however as blizzard states it is not against terms and conditions simply because it is you controlling all 4 accounts (using key clone) instead of a bot that automates everything.

this is how bad it got before i quit......... it was my wowcrack and nothing was getting me off their..... like i said i am lukcy i am still married and now i play consoles perhaps a few hours a week and now we are both happy.

MMO's are fun but i got a little tired of not achieving anything. there was always something to be done in order to complete things.

so if you were on xavius server (alliance) and you saw a group of 4 chars ganking you it could well of possibly been me :-)

Now....................... i'm free and replaced one addiction with another.... the zed

i have never been addicted to games i prefer to have a drink and listen to some meloncoly music

i totally agreee.... but you must also admit... we are geeks

i have a binary watch there really is no hope for me :o

i can understand games for a recreational purpose but to play that much is beyond me.

My little sister is the same and she goes to tornaments for gears of war on the xbox.

Its crazy to me but hey ho, different people, different interests i suppose. but well done for quitting.
