First of all, congratulations to Jensen Button. Desreved his victory, however, he did have the quickest car of the weekend, so it was kind of expected.

Performance of the weekend for me, goes to Lewis Hamilton. he din't put a foot wrong and to get into 4th from the back of the grid and in a poor car was an excellent achievement and keeps him in touch until they manage to sort the car out.

Good to see the Ferrari's pick up 0pts. The result was a lot better than Lewis could of hoped for.

Hamilton up to third with 6pts :dance::dance:

How many people would have thought he'd collect 6 pts after practice and qualifying.

Amazed at Hamiltons placement. Its been said all throughout pre-season testing and the Friday practice sessions that the Mclarens are well of pace this year. That alone would of made it unlikely to see a Mclaren in the top 6 for at least the first few races, but then together with his gearbox failure putting him 18th grid position who would of thought he'd come out of it with a 3rd place !

Very pleased to see Button behind the wheel of a car he deserves.

Considering Brawn GP never existed until a few weeks ago, and the lack of success under previous ownership by Honda it really is spectacular how they are dominating the field.

He might even get the ten points if they decide to outlaw the dodgy defusers.

thats a good point! april 14 is the day its decided.

First race of the season, the long wait is over and yes it was worth waiting for:dance: Fairy tale start for Brawn GP Jenson and Ruby plus midus touch Branson:bow: Lewis raced the wheels of the Mclaren for third:bow: no adverts during the race, exciting to watch, overtaking, crashes, this is what F1 should be like. Bring on round two Malaysia next week can you wait?:dance::dance:

Cant say Im 100% about the Commentary.....was that Jonathan Legard or Jake Humphrey ?

and do they not do the Grid walk with Brundle anymore, or did they just not include that for the 1pm showing I watched ?

and where was Couthard ?

Thought the new presenter did very well, as did David Coulthard. Eddie Jordan did get on my tits by the end of the weekend. Not going to enjoy listening to him all season.

Doesn't look like Jordan & Coulthard are going to get on either. Can already sense some mild hostilites bewteen them.

Jonathan Legard, I believe.

Brundle did the grid walk on the 6am live showing, and Coulthard was featured quite a bit with Eddie Jordan. It must have been cut down for the repeat.
