Hello Leigh,

Just bought some R33 brakes from a 600 BHP skyline owner, he took me for a spin in it and it was like the world was moving in Fast Forward, no word of a lie.

Anyway having a chat with him and told him about the Slough meet we had and he was very keen to meet up with everyone. He said he knew 4 or 5 skyline owners that would be there at a drop of a hat, because there forum isn't as big as ours.

Seemed like a nice bloke with a genuine interest in Jap Performance cars.

If you or anybody fancies organising another one or I'll do it if needs be, then I am Game.

all the best.

Mark

Hi Guys,

Sorry havent been on here much.

I will have a word with GIO as he seems to know the pubs around this way better than me.

Or we can meet at the same place??

Let us know what you think.

Leigh.

Greetings earth people. It looks as though Episode II: Attack of the Clowns is on then...

As Leigh says, are we happy with the area / venue or has anyone some other suggestions?

Hello everyone

Sounds good to me. Meet 2 and looks like more cars to. Let us no time and place and I be there as the last one was top.

how about meet at the same pub and maybe move on to brooklands museum just a idea

jay

Hi Guys,

The same venue sounds good to me, can't remember how big the car park was though, do you think there could be enough space?

Mark

Same venue is good location for Motorways etc, but we could actually run out of space for cars. Last time we had a good turn out, and it looks like more are going to join the fold. Which is always good news.

There is another pub which has good access to the M40, and M25. This is the Royal Oak on the A355 Farnham Road, J3 M40. Also accessible from M4 J6.

This has a large car park, and does good beers, ales and bitters plus a good selection of food, wether its bar or a bit more expensive restaurant.

I have emailed GIO, and he is also looking into a venue near the river. I think he is thinking we might actually get some sun. Let hope GIO has shares in Sun beams. :-)

The weekends which would be good for me are 15/16th or 22/23 June.

Leigh.

Hi,

Same for me I'm working on the 16 but the other days are good.

I'd be interested, missed out on the last meet because my car was in the shop :~( but it now has new calipers and disk's biggrin.gif

The massive presidential brain has been booted into action. Jay's suggestion of a run to Brooklands is nice - never been there yet.

Looking at Jay's / Leigh's dates and throwing another idea into the pot, here's a couple of suggestions:

Either 15th June (Sat) meet in the 5 Bells then motor to Brooklands for museum.

or 23rd June (Sun) meet in the Master Brewer motel in Hillingdon by noon, then motor to a pub (probably the 5 Bells - same as before) to watch the European Grand Prix from Nürburgring

(pubs variable - might do the Royal Oak as Leigh suggests just for a change).

Any preferences?

OK one and all, the Five Bells (same place as before) says fine for us to come and watch the European GP on Sunday 23rd June. Kick off is 1pm so don't be late if you want pole position in front of the telly.

They do roast dinner and stuff like lasagne, veggie dish, fishy thing like scampi - maybe even S&K pies - that sort of thing on a Sunday just not sandwiches / bar snacks.

I am trying to organise a place to meet up in Hillingdon or somewhere so we can do our own parade lap round the M25 to Horton.

Mark - non-Zeds welcome as long as they understand that Zeds are nicer!

Everyone else, see you there!

Cheers - Gio

Hi All,

23rd is good idea, get to watch the GP with like minded people, instead of the missus telling me to turn it down :-)

Probably meet you all at the 5 Bells.
