I've borrowed a mates plasma cutter which is brand new so never been installed. I assumed it would be a simple 13 amp plug on the end and away we go but it needs a 21 amp supply. The feed into my garage from my main fuseboard has a 32 amp MCB which goes into another fuseboard in my garage which splits into the lights and the plugs via 6 and 20 amp trip switches.

My question is is there any way of wiring this so it can be connected and disconnected easily? I called Clarke (the manufacturer) who said to use the round 3 prong transformer type connectors but quickly looking at a Screwfix catalogue, it says they're rated at 16 amps.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Vijay

ok your gonna need a 32 amp mcb, 4-6mm cable & a blue socket & plug also probably best to fit an isolator between the fuse board & the plug too for quickness of switchibg off & extra safety as they are quite haerd to unplug with one hand cut off lol

Cheers. Any idea if they do a wall socket with isolator included?
